Bonnie S. Proch, CPA & MS Accounting
Bonnie Proch is the President and Founder of Attentive Accounting Group. She has worked in public and private accounting for over 25 years, giving her extensive experience in helping accounting departments run more efficiently. Bonnie has special expertise with start-up environments, as well as with “cleaning up” disorganized accounting situations and making QuickBooks easy for her clients to use. She enjoys working with smaller clients on a more personal level.
Bonnie has been in private practice for over 12 years. Prior to this, she was employed by Deloitte & Touche, and as a Director of Finance and a Controller in the healthcare services, biotech, retail and advertising industries. As an Advanced QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Bonnie has implemented many accounting systems and converted a number of manual accounting systems to computerized systems. Her current software of choice is QuickBooks, as it is logical and straightforward for non-accountants to understand, but is also powerful enough to handle complex accounting, if needed. Bonnie has worked with Peachtree, ATB, AccPac, Quicken, MultiLedger, Cougar Mountain, Solomon, and Great Plains, as well as industry-specific, customized and international accounting software. She is proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word and can assist organizations the best way to utilize these packages.
Bonnie earned her B.S. in Accounting from Bentley College in Waltham, MA, and her Masters in Accounting from Florida International University. She also has a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. It shows in her accounting work that she has a passion to help people. She holds CPA licenses in Maryland and Florida.
Jacqui Hamrick has a B.S. from the University of Maryland and a M.S. from the John Hopkins University. She has extensive experience in preparing corporate and personal tax returns as well as in financial tracking and oversight. She is an expert in project planning and preparing project budgets. For over 25 years she has been responsible for ensuring the financial and viability of programs ranging in size from $100,000 to nearly $10 million per year in revenues. In her spare time, her interests include: biking, golfing, dancing, photography, and pilates.
Margie Strickland has a B.B.A. with a concentration in Finance and Economics, as well as a Masters in Taxation, both from The George Washington University. She has a passion for helping individuals and small business owners manage their finances and reduce their tax liabilities. For more than 30 years she has worked across many industries, providing valuable financial analysis to businesses ranging in size from start-up to $200 million. Her other passions include spending time with her family, photography, swimming and gardening.
Rita Terterian graduated from Towson University with a double degree in Accounting and Finance. Rita has been a certified QuickBooks Pro-Adviser since 2013. She has worked with clients to train and help them understand their financials better, as well as to maintain their books and improve general processes. She has written Accounting Procedures for many companies. Rita’s background includes work in many industries such as, construction, retail, real estate, IT, biotechnology and consulting just to name a few. She takes time to truly understand client’s needs and works with people involved in all aspects of the business to gain an understanding prior to offering solutions.
Isabel Arias has been doing A/R, A/P and bank reconcilements for over 12 years. She is detail-oriented and has a high level of understanding of QuickBooks and bookkeeping. She is highly motivated to excel and to please her clients.
Kathy Young graduated from Bentley College and has worked with Attentive Accounting Group since 2010. She is accurate and precise in her bookkeeping skills. Kathy is a very competent accountant, and being very detailed, she leaves no stone unturned. She takes the time to understand the clients and their respective industries.
